From Havana to Estelí
José “Pepín” García is one of the most respected cigar makers alive. A master roller trained in Cuba’s legendary factories, he left the island in 2001, starting over in Miami with nothing but decades of expertise in his hands.
From a small workshop in Little Havana, Pepín built a reputation that spread through the cigar world by word of mouth alone. He eventually moved production to Estelí, Nicaragua — the heartland of the world’s finest tobacco — where the García family now operates their own farms and factory.
The name “My Father” came from his son Jaime García, who created the line as a personal tribute. Today, Pepín, Jaime, and Janny García run the operation together — a true family legacy built on Cuban-style blending with Nicaraguan tobacco.
